I'll be taking a better picture soon, but the hat on the stuffed gorilla was made with one skein of the white yarn. It is a simple single stitch crochet pattern using an "I" hook.

All the fiber for this alpaca yarn was grown at our place, Springtime Farms, in Salem, OR. The man who spun this yarn (who has ten years experience) said he was sorry I was no longer breeding my alpacas because the fiber was so nice.

The colors are all natural:

Light fawn (Noah, Raina, Charlie Charlie Chaz)
Darn fawn (Hermione, Henry, Sequoia)
The white and the dark brown yarn is the picture are no longer available.

Be different: Alpaca yarn from Springtime Farms is commercially spun, but is not the cookie cutter look of every other alpaca yarn. The mill we use produces a unique yarn with a slightly handspun look.

Treat yourself. Knit with alpaca yarn. But be warned...it will be hard to use other yarns in the future. Alpaca is so incredibly soft.

Although there isn't a great difference, the white alpaca yarn is the softest of the four. In general, this is true of alpaca fiber....white is sofest, then the darker the color, the coarser the fiber. That being said, all four have a wonderful feel to them.

Each skein of alpaca yarn is 100 yards long. It is a worsted weight alpaca yarn.

Snuggle up with alpaca warmth!
